Science Alive

MASA developed a relationship with the Silver Spring Neighborhood Center (SSNC) and Browning Elementary in Fall of 2017. James Wilbern, Manager at SSNC, expressed interest in developing an after-school science program at the center for Browning Elementary students. MASA and SSNC partners to create Science Alive and provide science activities for small groups of students to participate in every other week.

Science Alive provides engaging and inspirational science experiences via hands-on educational activities. Science activities are originally designed by the MASA team and filtered through our educational philosophy that emphasizes critical thinking, exploration, and experiential learning. The Science Alive team is currently developing content to prepare for the upcoming Fall semester.
