On June 23rd, 2018, MASA hosted Amani Un | Leaded at COA Goldin Center. MASA partnered with Hunger Task Force, Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, and the Social Development Commission to present workshops on lead in our homes and community, test lead blood levels, and distribute water filters to eligible families.
From this event, MASA recognized the need for assistance in water filter distribution and follow up, and lead awareness. Team members at MASA are actively developing a lead filter notification and communication system to aid residents in installation services, technical support, and cartridge replacement reminders.
